What makes Chef Mama bagels so special?
Have you been looking for real freshly baked NY-style bagels in Sweden?
We’re talking traditional American bagels, such as those in bagel shops all over New York, San Francisco, Seattle and other American cities – as opposed to the mass-produced or bake-off imposter bagels you sometimes find in Swedish grocery stores or cafes.
Chef Mama (Emily) bakes bagels by hand in exactly the same way she learned in a real bagel shop in Seattle 25 years ago; so that they are wonderfully crispy and airy, but still with a proper chewing resistance. Every bagel is kneaded, cold-fermented over night, boiled, and baked – by hand and with lots of love.
As real bagels should be, in other words!

How it works:
1. You place your order
Order before 8 PM / 20:00 the day before bake days to be picked up or sent out for delivery the following day.
We will send a confirmation email that the order has been placed.
Note: During periods of high demand it might not be possible to guarantee next-day bakes, but all orders will be baked in the order they come in.
2. We bake your order
Your order will be baked fresh in the next available batch, and you will receive an email when we have started processing the order.
Remember to place your orders before 8 PM / 20:00 the night before you want it baked.
3. Your order will be sent out for delivery (Mon-Wed only) or ready for pickup
You will receive an email when the order is baked, which means it will be ready to be picked up in the bakery in Malmö, or sent out for delivery.
We recommend picking up ASAP for maximum freshness.
Deliveries to the rest of Sweden take 1-2 business days and are sent out Mon–Wed (95% of deliveries arrive the next day).

Nu snackar vi traditionella amerikanska bagels, som du hittar i bagel shops överallt i New York, San Francisco, Seattle och andra amerikanska storstäder — till skillnad från dom massproducerade fejk-bagels som du ibland hittar i Svenska matbutiker eller kaféer.
Chef Mama (Emily) bakar bagels för hand på exakt samma sätt som hon lärde sig på en riktig bagel shop i Seattle för 25 år sedan; så att dom blir härligt krispiga och luftiga, men fortfarande med ett ordentligt tuggmotstånd.
Som riktiga bagels ska vara, med andra ord!
Nybakade & autentiska – precis som det ska vara
När du sedan får dina bagels är det bara att rosta, bre på rikligt med Philadelphia-ost, och njuta av en bagel som för dig hela vägen till New York i sinnet.
Klarar du inte av att äta upp alla direkt, så går det utmärkt att dela på och sedan frysa in resterande bagels. De kan sedan enkelt tinas och rostas direkt i brödrosten när du vill äta upp resten.
Om du hellre vill ha dina bagels och kakor skickade direkt hem, så erbjuder vi även leverans via cykelbud i vissa delar av centrala Malmö (gratis för beställningar över 600 kr).

For one weekend only, join us and experience the authentic and handcrafted flavors of freshly baked New York-style bagels in the middle of Stockholm.
Chef Mama, a Malmö-based artisan bakery by American baker Emily Fowler, is bringing its renowned bagels and sweets to the cozy courtyard of Blique by Nobis Hotel in Vasastan on June 14th and 15th, 2024.
If you haven't had the chance to visit the bakery in Malmö yet, this is a unique opportunity for Stockholmers to indulge in some of Chef Mama's yummy bagel sandwiches, cookies, brownies, and more.
At Chef Mama, our goal is to transport you back across the Atlantic for a little while — to a real American Bagel Bakery. We’re a small-scale family business that bakes everything by hand every day, with (almost) all of us working here being Americans who found love in Sweden. 🇺🇸❤️🇸🇪
As such, we take great pride in our freshly baked, handcrafted, and authentic bagels, cookies, brownies, pies, and scones — and hope that you will love them too!
Each bagel is made with love and by hand, using traditional recipes that give you that perfect chewy texture and rich flavor. Plus, we've got cookies, brownies, and more that are sure to make even the most disciplined among us drool.

Nu snackar vi traditionella amerikanska bagels, som du hittar i bagel shops och delis överallt i New York, San Francisco, Seattle och andra amerikanska storstäder — till skillnad från dom massproducerade fejk-bagels som du ibland hittar i Svenska matbutiker eller kaféer.
Chef Mama (Emily) bakar bagels för hand på exakt samma sätt som hon lärde sig på en riktig bagel shop i Seattle för 25 år sedan; så att dom blir härligt krispiga och luftiga, men fortfarande med ett ordentligt tuggmotstånd.
Som riktiga bagels ska vara, med andra ord!
Förbeställ och hämta upp
För att säkerställa att du får exakt de bagelsmaker eller andra bakverk som du suktar efter, så rekommenderar vi att du förbeställer här via hemsidan. Du kan så klart också komma in och köpa det som finns i caféet för dagen, men vi kan inte garantera att alla smaker eller bakverk finns tillgängliga.
När du sedan får dina bagels är det bara att rosta, bre på rikligt med cream cheese, och njuta av en bagel som för dig hela vägen till New York i sinnet.
Klarar du inte av att äta upp alla direkt, så går det utmärkt att dela på och sedan frysa in resterande bagels. De kan sedan enkelt tinas och rostas direkt i brödrosten när du vill äta upp resten.

How it works:
1. You place your order
Order before 8 PM / 20:00 the day before bake days to be picked up or sent out for delivery the following day.
We will send a confirmation email that the order has been placed.
Note: During periods of high demand it might not be possible to guarantee next-day bakes, but all orders will be baked in the order they come in.
2. We bake your order
Your order will be baked fresh in the next available batch, and you will receive an email when we have started processing the order.
Remember to place your orders before 8 PM / 20:00 the night before you want it baked.
3. Your order will be sent out for delivery (Mon-Wed only) or ready for pickup
You will receive an email when the order is baked, which means it will be ready to be picked up in the bakery in Malmö, or sent out for delivery.
We recommend picking up ASAP for maximum freshness.
Deliveries to the rest of Sweden take 1-2 business days and are sent out Mon–Wed (95% of deliveries arrive the next day).

Vill man ha en riktig amerikansk bagel och inte bara ett bröd med ett hål i från bake off-hyllan, så är det hit man ska vända sig. Perfekt för mysiga hemmabruncher eller drömmiga utflykter. Det finns så många olika smaker att välja mellan också. Ost är definitivt min favorit, slänger man in en sån i brödrosten och brer på cream cheese så kan man inte ha en dålig dag.
